Fraud Awareness
At Direct Lend, we take the issue of fraud seriously and we are committed to doing everything within our power to protect our customers from fraudsters. We want our customers to feel safe and secure while browsing our website and applying for a short-term loan.
We would like to formally inform our customers that neither we nor any of our financial partners will ever contact you and request you to transmit funds or request you to purchase any products before the disbursement of your loan.
Fraud is a significant problem that can be challenging to detect. Fraudsters frequently take advantage of legitimate companies, posing as them and defrauding unsuspecting customers by inducing them to part with their funds or using voucher schemes. Frequently employed voucher schemes by fraudsters in the United Kingdom include UKASH VOUCHERS, Paysafecard, iTunes gift cards, and Amazon gift cards.
We have received reports of companies falsely claiming to be a legitimate loan provider and requesting victims to call a different number to process their loan. Upon calling the number, the victim is placed on hold for around 15 minutes and then informed that they will be contacted later. The victim is billed for the duration of the call at a rate of approximately £2.50 – £3.00 per minute. The victim never receives a call back, and there is no loan. We wish to inform our customers that we will never reach out to you to offer a loan. If you receive a call asking you to call a different number, please request that they call you back. If you do not receive a call back, the company is probably not authentic. Please note that such calls are fraudulent activities.
To protect yourself against fraud, it is important to:
